I am excited to share that Dr. Tracy Angelocci, MD, a longstanding customer and superuser of CareMessage, has joined us as our first-ever full time Chief Medical Officer. In this role, Tracy will lead our clinical strategy while serving as an educator internally and advocate externally. I am honored and thrilled for Tracy to join our team.

Dr. Angelocci, an Internist and Pediatrician, most recently served for more than 10 years as the Chief Medical Information Officer (CMIO) at Lone Star Circle of Care, one of the largest Federally Qualified Health Centers in Texas, serving nearly 100,000 patients in 55 clinics locations spanning 6 counties.

She has a unique career track that has covered both the vendor and clinician sides of healthcare information technology. Dr. Angelocci combines her history of senior-level electronic medical record software design with avid experimentation in data-driven clinical practice transformation to manage population health more effectively.

As CMIO, she led the Population Health team, Clinical Analytics department, and Patient Navigation Center and assumed a leadership role in the organization’s performance in ACO and other value-based contracts. She was active in the organization’s pursuit of interesting partnerships to create a Community Centered Health Home for their patients, expanding into services beyond walls and exploring new, non-traditional avenues of patient engagement.

Dr. Angelocci previously served as Director of Clinical Application Design and Vice President of Medical Informatics, leading the Product division of an ambulatory EHR company. In that role, she managed the complete software lifecycle of an enterprise-level clinical application suite, from initial design concept to general software release and maintenance.

She and her husband live in the outskirts of Austin, Texas. In the process of building their family through adoption, Tracy developed a deep passion for the international orphan crisis. Twelve years ago, she founded (and continues to direct) a church-partnership-based orphan care ministry, focused on the holistic care of orphans in Kenya. The ministry places a strong emphasis on providing career training and college education as a key to fostering financial independence and breaking the generational cycle of poverty.

In her spare time, Tracy’s nomadic inclination has led her to exploring the world, mostly trying to ‘live like a local’ while enjoying nature, hiking, art, and food!

Welcome, Tracy! I am excited to get to work together.
